Dr. Penaz grew up in Waconia, MN, and completed his undergraduate studies at St. John’s University. Following college, he entered dental school at the University of Minnesota and earned his D.D.S. degree in 2012. He then completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the US Navy in Great Lakes, Illinois. Dr. Penaz moved to North Carolina and served for three years as a general dentist supporting the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force before returning to Minnesota to pursue specialty training in endodontics. He received his Masters of Science and Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Penaz lives in Greenfield with his wife, Rachel, and his newborn daughter. In his spare time, he is an avid pilot, outdoorsman, and restorer of vintage autos.

Dr. Penaz maintains active membership in the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Minnesota Association of Endodontists.
